Boarding School Schloss-Hohenwehrda

The boarding school Schloss Hohenwehrda in Hesse teaches children and youths starting in 5th grade of Realschule and Gymnasium, and guides them to their Mittlere Reife graduation. Grades 5 and 6 are classified as orientation level. We place special importance on permeability within the school types. The prerequisites for this are created as early as in grade 6. The objective is enabling Realschule students to also visit the Gymnasium upper school in Bieberstein.

The school buildings are arranged around the former hunting manor, providing home and school for 130 children and youths and their teachers.
Hohenwehrda is a pure boarding school.

We see our school as a social network, supporting and promoting children in their development into individuals in the scope of holistic education in times of increasing individualisation. Our 14 boarding school families comprise 8 to 10 children each, forming a mixed-age living unit with a teacher.
